In many game settings neither player has a dominant or a dominated strategy. In these cases we need other solution approaches.

Examine the game to the right. By now you should be familiar enough with analyizing games that it is immediately apparent that neither player has a dominant strategy, and since each player has only two strategies no dominant strategy means there can be no dominated strategy either.

When we can't rely on either dominant or dominated strategies our next approach is to look for a Nash equilibrium.
